Roundhouse is envisioned as a vibrant mixed-use community that will transform the industrial railway yard into a neighbourhood centre of use and activity. The 9.25 acre site will be a landmark place of community gathering, providing a focus - places to shop, gather, live, work and visit - for the Victoria West neighbourhood and Greater Victoria community. The designated E&N Roundhouse heritage buildings will be carefully rehabilitated to enable their reuse, while new residential development, community-serving retail and services along with public open spaces, parks and plazas will contribute to the livability of the Songhees Peninsula. Roundhouse will complete the Songhees neighbourhood, providing a destination for Victoria residents and visitors alike.
